Knox has been the biggest help since we've been home. He's very eager to offer her passy whenever she cries and loves to watch Jason and I change her diaper. I couldn't ask for better children!

Party of Four

The Proud Big Brother

The meeting between Knox and Anna Kate could not have gone better! He was so excited to finally meet his baby sister and loved rubbing her head and saying "Hey, Anna Kate!" over and over. It truly brought tears to my eyes to see his reaction =-)

Going Home!

My Mom bought the most beautiful white dress for Anna Kate to wear home from the hospital. It was a good thing we had a bonnet for her to wear also because it was so cold and rainy the day we were discharged.

So Sweet =-)

Katie

Anna Kate is named after my two nieces, Anna and Katie. If Anna Kate grows up to be anything like them, I'd say we've hit the jackpot =-) I have never known sisters to be as sweet and loving as these two, and I am honored to name my daughter after them!

Nana

One of Papa's Many Kisses =-)

Grandma Gipe

Proud Daddy

I think it would be an understatement if I said that Jason is happy to have a little girl =-)

Here She Is!

Anna Kate Gipe arrived on November 9, 2009 by c-section at 8:17 a.m. She weighed 7 lbs. 6 oz. and was 21 inches in length! She looks exactly like her big brother and is just as sweet as he is =-) Please excuse the way I look in this picture...it was taken in the recovery room.

Tuesday, November 3, 2009

I suppose the next post will feature the arrival of Anna Kate! With only 6 days left until her birth date on November 9th, we are all filled with so many emotions, but deep down we are all thankful that we've been blessed with another addition to our family. According to my doctor, she may be bigger than her brother when she's born (8 lbs., 6 oz) but I'm still holding on to my prediction that she'll be 7 lbs. 13 oz...I guess we'll find out for sure in less than a week!

Tired Boy =-)

I think Knox's favorite part of the night was passing out candy to all the trick-or-treaters that came to our house. He stood on our front porch and yelled "candy" as loud as he could to get them to come to our house!

We had a cookout at our house on Halloween night before we took Knox out trick-or-treating. He was precious saying "trick-or-treat" and thought that when our neighbors answered the door that he should walk in a make himself at home!

Feeding the Goats

Knox was completely fearless when he met and fed the goats! In fact, he tried to kiss them several times and pet them like they were dogs!

Feeding the Catfish

Mr. Smith, the owner of the farm, took all of us on a hayride that lead to the pumpkin patch. Here, Knox, Papa and Knox were feeding the catfish.

A couple of weeks ago, Nana, Papa, Jason and myself took Knox to a pumpkin patch close to our house. Here are some pictures of our wonderful trip!
